About Treco Locksmith & Security

Treco Locksmith & Security started in 2018 with a straightforward idea: a locksmith should come to you, answer the phone, and charge a fair price for honest work. We are a fully mobile locksmith based in Burlington, covering the wider Hamilton and Halton area from the road, not a storefront.
Since then we have built a 5.0-star rating from more than 204 Google reviews, earned one lockout, one car key, one rekey, and one commercial door at a time. That number is the only scorecard that counts: whether the person who called would call again, and tell a neighbour — or a property manager — to do the same.
Where we are headed: commercial
We still do everything that built our reputation — home rekeys, car keys cut and programmed on site, and lockouts. But more and more of our work is on the commercial side, and that is where we are focused: automatic door operators, AODA accessibility and barrier-free hardware, steel doors and frames, master key systems, access control, and panic and exit devices.
It is hands-on, code-aware work — power operators under ANSI/BHMA A156.19, accessible washrooms and entrances under Ontario's Building Code, fire-rated exit hardware on egress doors. It suits us: a small crew that shows up, gets the detail right, and stands behind it.
What we handle
We are a full-service locksmith for businesses, homes, and vehicles. Most of it gets done on site in a single visit:
- Commercial. Automatic door operators, AODA accessibility, steel doors & frames, master key systems, access control, and exit devices for offices, retail, and industrial.
- Residential. Rekeys, lock changes, deadbolts, and smart locks to keep a home secure.
- Automotive. Car key replacement, fob and transponder programming, and ignition work, cut and coded at your vehicle.
- Emergency. Lockouts and break-in repair for homes, cars, and businesses, with after-hours call-out available.
Why mobile makes the difference
A traditional locksmith asks you to come to a shop during shop hours. A lockout does not work that way, and neither does a door that will not latch at a business. Because Treco is mobile, the locksmith comes to the lock — and we carry commercial hardware on the van, so most jobs get solved in one visit instead of waiting on a parts order.
The area we cover
Burlington is home base and Hamilton is our largest market, but the service area runs well beyond both. We regularly cover Burlington, Hamilton, Oakville, Stoney Creek, Brantford, Grimsby, and Caledonia, plus the communities in between. Not sure you are in range? Call and we will tell you straight.
